I spent some of my childhood watching my mother work at her dressmaker duties.In 1988 I decided I would 'give it a go' and produced Quilt Covers and Pillow Cases made from square patchwork pieces. During this time I used my Mum's old green Elna sewing machine (shown in picture).
In February 1990 some of my work was put on public display at the Enfield Library.


Encouraged by the public's response, I then purchased two more machines - a four thread Overlocker and a computerized Janome MC 5000 Embroidery machine.
On 8 March 1997 more of my work was put on display (right pic below), this time at the Golden Grove Show, where I won First Prize in Class 76 - 'Article made by a Gent', Section 0-2.
